1st minute of video editing - Courtney

 For my part of the music video I did the first minute of editing where Sadie is getting ready to go out. 

To start out the editing I picked out all the footage of her getting ready in the house and placed them in order of what I thought would look good.

To start off I placed the edited out the sound from all the clips and then added in the music underneath it. 

I then went with what my the first opening clip would be which is Sadie standing sideways in the doorway vaping. I though the lighting looked good in this shot and wanted it to start off with a darker shot to lead in to the brighter ones.

I then transitioned the shot into her getting ready in the mirror and then looking out the window which pans left to the construction site outside.

After that I added the shots of her walking down the stairs from the top and bottom and then out the door. 

I then added the shot of her making a rollie at the door. I chose the footage where shes centered in the screen because I thought the symmetry looked nice and went with the music. 

I then added the shot where she's walking out the gate and ended it with her looking around on the street staring at the birds which looked nice to end on.

After the arrangement of the clips were done I cut it down to a minute long and went in and added special effects. The two I decided to go for were reversing clips and colour changing.

For the clip reversing backwards effects I added that to the beginning scene where shes vaping in the doorway and to a clip of her going down the stairs to make them look trippy.

I also added in a colour effect in a couple of scenes to make the brighter areas look red to match in with the red neon lights from the club scenes.

I then exported the clip and started uploading it to youtube so it would be easier to share.

I like how my part of the editing turned out and I think it paired well with Zach's second part of the editing and Olivia's club scenes.
